Last I heard, there were TWO farmers markets in Shelburne Falls. Not bad for a population of 2000...
The American Farmland Trust has a contest for 'America's Favorite Farmers Markets.' Maybe someone who lives in the village can found out the specs and enter us?

What I'd like to find out is why there are two and if there were increased collaboration between the two, would the individual producer benefit. Something tells me that there are not two because there was a market for both but that negative emotion drove individuals to choose sides, thus competing. They both happen to have the same hours on the same day.
